Debian Resistance

Debian out of the box has as its default web browser Epiphany and Evolution as its default email client. I found Evolution to be sluggish at best and Epiphany didnt have the same nice crisp look that Ice Weasel has. So I made Ice Weasel and Icedove the default browser and email clients, resp. (Desktop->Preferences->Preferred Applications). To get Sunbird to work I downloaded the directory an placed it in /op, then installed

gcc-3.3-base (1:3.3.6-15)
libstdc++5 (1:3.3.6-15)

and added the calendar to the Applications Menu as shown here.

Installed the following packages:
